12 Cotton Picker Imagine you are a new slave on a planation in the Southern States. Today you will be “tested”, your skills will determine your place on the land. It is a hot and humid day in July and your owner will not let you have any food or water till your 5 pounds of cotton is clean. You must make 3 separate piles when cleaning your cotton. One pile is the bile which is all the debris that can be turned into food for the animals. Second pile must the seeds, which can be replanted for next years planting season Third is the clean cotton. Your owner will punish you if your cotton is not perfectly clean.
