2. Who is Emma and why is she famous?
Emma Watson is an actress.
She is most famous for portraying Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise.

3. Birth and Early Childhood
Emma was born 15th April 1990 in Paris.
Her brother was born three years later.
At age five her parents divorced, she moved to England with her mum and brother.

4. Primary Education and first audition
In Oxford, Emma attended the Stagecoach Theatre Arts School.
She hadn’t had any professional experience when her drama teacher recommended Emma to agents for the upcoming film ‘Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone’.
J.K. Rowling wanted Emma to have the part of Hermione since day 1.

5. Life on the set of Harry Potter and Secondary Education
Emma didn’t get to go to secondary school as she was on set from the year 2001 to Instead they had a tutor on the set.
During the franchise she made many friends.
Emma loved portraying Hermione. She later said that ‘Hermione is so close to who I am as a person, that I’ve never really had to research a role. I’m literally rediscovering what it means to be an actress.’

7. University and Modelling Career
After Harry Potter, Emma went to Browns University and got an English degree.
Her modelling career started in 2005 when she had a photoshoot for Teen Vogue.
In June 2009, Emma confirmed that she would be partnering with Burberry.
Then, she appeared in Burberry’s 2010 spring/summer campaign.
In 2009, Emma worked with People Tree and helped make a line of clothing. As well as making an Autumn/Winter Range with them.
In March 2011 she became the face of Lancome.

8. Female Rights Campaign
Emma has promoted education for girls.
In July 2014 she was appointed a UN Goodwill Ambassador. She then went to New York City to launch HeForShe a campaign that calls out for men to support gender equality.
She made her first trip as an ambassador to Uruguay where she gave a speech highlighting the need for female political participation.

9. What she’s doing now?
Two films are coming out this year featuring Watson.
Beauty and the Beast – Disney’s new live action of the old classic.
The Circle – based on the novel. Emma portrays ‘Mae Holland’.

Emma is a big inspiration to the world. She inspires people to act, be a feminist, modelling and her biggest message through everything ‘be yourself’.
Also, Hermione Granger inspires people of all ages to stand up for what’s right as she does that a lot in the books.
