2. WE SERVE A LIVING GOD
(Jos 3:10)  And Joshua said, By this you shall know that the Living God is among you, and He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.
Whenever there was a problem the children of Israel called upon the Living God.
David longs for the Living God he had a revelation of the Living God. (Psa 42:2)  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?

3. LIVING WORD
Heb 4:12: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The living God has the Living Word and His Word is active.
The Living Word was there at Creation, the world was spoken into existence by the Living Word. (Genesis 1 and John 1)
Baptises in the Holy Spirit
Brings Miracles
Brings life

4. THE WORD IS THE WAY OF LIFE OF A CHRISTIAN
The Bible commands Joshua that his prosperity was in the word of God (Josh 1:8).
(Jos 1:8)  This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall act wisely.
God makes an emphasis that for Joshua to have good success he needed to have the word of God
memorized,
recited, or read at all times.

5. We are created to be successful!
The word of God further states that this word should dwell in us.
(Col 3:16) Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
The word of God was going to be Joshuas operational manual in this life.
The word of God should make a home in you (ἐν-οικέω enoikeō).
The word of God should dwell in richly (abundance) in all wisdom. (σοφία Sophia)
What comes out of your mouth should be pslams , hymns, spiritual songs with Grace in your hearts to the Lord.
The word should be the guidance in every aspect of our lives.
Every Christian must submit himself under the Word of God.
We are created to be successful!

6. The Word GIVES DIRECTION
(Heb 4:12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
(Psa 119:105) . Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The word of God will help a child of God to differentiate his own thoughts and what the spirit of God is saying. The word of God is like a torch in the dark it will help the child of God to take a good direction in his life. The word of God is living and even now! It has the most relevant answers and has the latest update installed within itself.

7. ITS SPIRIT AND LIFE
(John 6:63) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Speaking the word of God to yourself will give you life (Zoe). That is to say abundant life. Word of God applied to a sick body will produce will give health. Word of God will add a “long” life to you.
Agrees with the Promise.
(11Psa 91:16) With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.

8. IT THE BASIS OF OUR FAITH
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
And What is Faith?
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(The word became flesh)
Faith must be based on the word and otherwise its not FAITH.

9. IT’S A SPIRITUAL WARFARE WEAPON
When you are in Battle speak the Word of the Living God:
(Ephesians 6:15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
It is written:
(Matthews 4:4) But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
(Mat 4:11) Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

10. KEEP THE WORD LET IT GROW
(Col 3:16) Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Mat 13:3-9
The Lord gives us his word and what matters is what we do with the word.
The word of God is a foundation and foundation must be planted on solid ground. If a foundation is on soft ground it will not hold what ever is built on it.
Where You Place Your Foundation Has A Bearing On The Survival Of Your Faith

11. HOW TO BUILD A GOOD FOUNDATION

Not depart
Day in day out
Meditate
memorize
Don’t change it
Seat under good teachers
Prayer

12. In Conclusion We serve a Living God He has living Word
The word is a double edged sword
The Word is spirit and life
Basis (foundation) of our faith
