From middle picture, upper row, clockwise: 17 Southampton Place (academic space); the London Review Bookshop Café, one of my favorites (3 mins from 17 Southampton); Lincoln’s Inn Great House, part of a complex of buildings where law is taught, dating back to the 13th century; a photo of some members of the Bloomsbury Group, which included Virginia Woolf and John Maynard Keynes and who lived and met in homes very nearby; Bloomsbury Square, a stone’s throw away from 17 Southampton; and The British Museum, perhaps the world’s greatest museum, a 5 minute walk from 17 Southampton.

Lodgings and Neighborhood
N. B. This remains to be determined, but we have some confidence that students will again stay in Blithehale Court in Bethnal Green in East London. The participants in 2015 loved the accommodations, which have private bedrooms and bathrooms and a shared kitchen/living room, as well as the neighborhood. Clockwise from upper left: A well-regarded restaurant nearby; Blithehale Court; the London Buddhist Centre, one of the largest in the UK; Bethnal Green Gardens, right across the street from Blithehale; a bit of typical British eccentricity; the Tube station just a couple of blocks away.

Other places students go
Thanks to London’s proximity to other amazing places, here are some of the places students in 2015 went to on the weekend: Paris Amsterdam Dublin Edinburgh Bruges, Belgium Liverpool (Beatles tour) Stonehenge Highclere Castle (of Downton Abbey fame)
