1 AR Program Information 6th Grade Behavior policy
6th Grade ELA (Reading, Language Arts & Writing) Ms. Neff How to contact me AR Program Information (Text Only) (School Phone) Written note in student’s agenda. EVERY student will be responsible for reading an on-level AR book AT HOME for at least 20 minutes per night as homework. Each student will have a set AR Point Goal each quarter, based on his/her STAR Reading test score. Students must read AR books on their indicated level and take the AR comprehension, and vocabulary, tests for that book to accumulate points. 2 Ms. Neff 6th Grade ELA Late / Incomplete Work Absentee Policy
Late / Incomplete Work Absentee Policy My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed to a level of proficiency (70% or higher) and turned in on time. Late work will receive a deduction of 10% each day it is late. Work over 1 week late will no longer be accepted for a grade. Student will lose an Eagle Code Stamp. If a student receives a score of below 70% (except on tests) he/she may correct the work and turn it back in, within one week, for an averaged grade of the first and second attempts. A written and signed parent note must accompany any missing work if an accommodation is requested. Acceptance of late work or redos is the teacher’s prerogative. YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT! It is the student’s responsibility to request any assignments missed. A student has two extra days to turn in any work assigned on a day a student was absent. It is the student’s responsibility to turn in the completed absent work. The teacher will not request it. If previously assigned work was due on the day of the absence, the work is due on the first day the student returns.
