So – what is ‘racism’? to the killing of individuals
This is where we did a game show: Mr Attwood had 2 teams of 3 – one was a team of children with glasses who sat on chairs and one was a team of children without glasses who had to stand. The questions for the team with glasses were very easy and the questions for the team without glasses were ridiculously hard! At the end, the team of glasses wearers won a prize and the other team were told they were rubbish! The children realised Mr Attwood had treated the teams differently because the team who wore glasses were like him! They explained that was unfair and that everyone should have been treated the same. This then led into the discussion of what racism is. If you are discriminating against someone only because of things like their Religion, Skin Colour or Culture, you are being a racist! The consequences of Racism can be varied and extreme. From name calling on a school playground, physically hurting someone because of their differences… to the killing of individuals

POLITELY AND WITH RESPECT
THINK before you speak – if you are name calling or ‘picking’ on someone just because they are different, then you could be classed as one of two things – A BULLY A RACIST OR BOTH… REMEMBER: to ALWAYS treat people how YOU would like people to treat you: POLITELY AND WITH RESPECT
