21. Adjust all the parameters in the file basepref
Adjust all the parameters in the file basepref.RNM to the new target environment.
Make sure
■ to avoid using the characters '*/' in the parameter values
■ the number of qualifiers used for each target system data set is the same used for
the corresponding source data set
■ the value of the USER parameter at the end of the Renaming Definitions data set
is not changed
■ the mandatory continuation character "-" is at the 71th position of each line
except the last line

26. Update the extraction job

27. Adjust the extraction job by entering the package file name and
the name of the basepref.RNM data set (in the SYSIN DD at the end of the job)

29. The maximum return code for successfully running IOADSRST is 0004.

DO NOT enter ICE on your new cloned environment,
as it may still point to and can update your original base files.

31. Compress the ilprefa.PARM and ilprefa.INSTWORK libraries.
This would be the newly cloned files

32. Be sure to use the RENAMING TOOL jcl in ilprefa

34. The value for the ENVID parameter must be the same as it was specified for the ENVID parameter for the Data Set Listing tool
(In other words the original environment ID that was cloned from)

35. Use the BASEPREF and ILPREFA of the cloned environment.

36. The Renaming Tool job submits many jobs to perform the tasks necessary to rename and reformat the newly cloned files.

using the following MVS command:
SETPROG APF,ADD,DSN=DsName,VOLUME=VolSer
Refresh LLA using the MVS command F LLA,REFRESH
Set IOA Online Monitor Parameters (IOA Customization step 15.1)
Specify IOA CPUs (Control-O Customization step 1.4)
Allocate Global AutoEdit Libraries
(Control-O Customization step 2.4) - for each SMFID
Allocate and Format Control-O Statistics Files
(Control-O Customization step 2.5) - for each SMFID
Allocate the Automation Log Files
(Control-O Customization step 2.6) - for each SMFID
Allocate Subsystem Communication File
(Control-M Customization step 5.3)
Allocate and Format Communication Files
(Control-M Customization step 5.4) - for each SMFID
For remote cloning, edit the password members
for each of the installed products
Review and adjust ECAPARMx parameter members
(IOA Customization step 14.2)
Review and adjust the CTMPLEX parameter member
(Control-M Customization step 3.1)
Review the operational libraries to ensure that there are
no references to the base (source) installation.

39. Cloning has been completed.
You are now ready to enter ICE using the cloned base prefix.
