2 cavities, 500 MHz & one cell each Cavities are made of niobium and will work at 4.5 K. Cavity resides inside a stainless steal liquid helium vessel of 290 liter. Thermal loads include about the 30 W static load and 84 W dynamic load.

EAST is the world's first non-circle cross-section full SC tokamak. 1998: approved 2000: construction started 2005: assembly finished 2006: commissioning completed All of the TF and PF magnets are made of NbTi/Cu CICC and are cooled with forced flow supercritical helium at 3.8 K A cryoplant with an equivalent capacity of 2 kW/4K (1050 W/3.5 K + 200W/4.5K + 13 g/s LHe + 13 kW/80 K) is built by IPP Design, construction and commissioning: IPP, China Compressor: China Turbines: Geliymash, Russia Cryogenic Valves: WEGA, CH HX: China
