Cyberbullying: The use of the Internet, cell phones, or other digital means to hurt or embarrass someone else. A cyberbully may be a person the target knows in “real life,” or it may be a stranger.
Bystander: Someone who sees something that is wrong but simply “stands by” and doesn’t do anything to support someone or speak up. A bystander will witness a situation/ behavior but take no actions.
Active bystander takes negative action by making comments or forwards or participates in some negative way.
Upstander: Someone who not only recognizes when something is wrong but as a result, stands up for his/her beliefs by taking actions. An upstander will help/support whomever who is being hurt, or will speak up to correct the situation/ make it right
