Building Coordinator Functions
Primary focus is to serve as liaison between facilities management, public safety and other University departments when coordinating maintenance, repairs, and other activities related to assigned building

Building Coordinator Functions
Fielding requests for maintenance and repairs Assisting in preparation and approval of building heating, ventilation and cooling schedules Work with other campus departments affecting building usage in order to accommodate specific needs for special programs and events

Building Coordinator Functions
Maintaining open communications with their assigned maintenance and building custodial supervisors Works together with FM to enforce building projects are performed according to University policies and in conjunction with the collective bargaining agreement Works directly with Public Safety in matters of safety and security for their building

Makes sure that faculty/staff have appropriate access to their office and/or classrooms Assists in preparation and approval of the building locking and unlocking schedule Establishes a notification procedure for building occupants regarding critical situations that could affect the health and safety of the building occupants

Assists Environmental Health and Safety with remediating building safety violations Disseminates information to building occupants related to energy conservation initiatives/programs, recycling efforts, emergency preparedness and safety guidelines, routine building issues such as fire alarm testing, water shutdowns, elevator repairs, etc.

Notify the Office of the Associate Vice President for FM in writing of any changes with your contact information or departure from current position to ensure we have up-to-date and accurate information

Please visit: Facilities management service units have created their specific level of service for their facility discipline Each unit and their team members hold themselves accountable to meet or exceed these expectations

When our staff falls short of this expectation, we must recognize it and improve. Please inform us when we have not met these expectations When customers want a higher level of service, we can offer it when provided additional resources

FM Services for Events Who pays and when?
If the event results in additional cleaning or maintenance above normal activities, then additional financial resources should be provided. When customers want a higher level of service, we can offer it when provided additional resources.
