9. Resume Building In high school:
Any work experience is good experience and you never know what you’ll need!
Keep a running document (Resume of EVERYTHING) to tailor later
In college (and beyond):
Continue to add to your Resume of Everything.
As you start to get a sense of what you want to do, craft a more specific resume that shows those skills
Keep in mind that a job or extracurricular doesn’t need to be in the exact field. Think of the skills you need for the job you want – what might have build those skills in you?
For each job you apply for, you should examine what the job listing is looking for and tailor your resume for THAT JOB

10. Your Turn…
Start listing the work, volunteer, and other experience you’ve had, including important information like dates worked and responsibilities you had
Consider 2-3 people you would like to ask to be a reference – any adult who knows your work ethic and skills, but isn’t related to you is a good choice
Teachers, church leaders, Boy/Girl Scout troop leaders, family friends, etc
