Project 3: Mars Explorer
Duration: 6 cycles

Design brief: To design and make a Mars Explorer which can crawl over the rough surface on the Mars model.

Materials provided: A motor and gear set, plywood (3mm in thickness), glass paper, screws (bolts and nuts), hot-melt glue

Requirement and information:
1. The explorer should be driven by the motor and gear set.

2. The power will be provided by batteries.

3. The length and the height of the explorer should not be longer than 350mm and higher than 200mm respectively. < 200mm < 350mm

4. The explorer may consist wheels, legs, claws or else to help moving.
5. The explorer should pass through different sections on the Mars model. More sections is passed, higher marks will be given.

6. Glass paper or rubber may be put to increase friction of the moving parts.
