Best practices of inclusiveness, migration and refugee housing.
How do we jointly work on inclusion and a better place for all vulnerable people in European cities ? Two networks of practioners from the social housing sector shake hands and show how we do that !

Facts: Eurhonet: 36 members, social/public housing organisations, 5 countries EFL: 22 housing organsiations, 6 scientific members, 16 private partners, 9 countries EFL European Federation for Living and EURHONET Two closely related network organisations in social housing. Our goals: 1.Learning from each other in an international context 2. Innovation through cooperation and exchange 3. Practising of learned lessons 4. Improving the social housing sector and it’s players Work together on better chances for vulnerable people !

What have we done ? IMPROVING SOCIAL QUALITY URBAN AREAS
We focus on urgent social challenges in our sector We developed a toolbox with instruments to support to HO’s We make use of best practices from Europe Members can make use of measurement instruments: Social Return on Investments (alternative to ROI) We developed strategies : The Neighborhood Approach We share methods that work ! And some of these ideas are rewarded by Europe. Glasgow - Used methodology: SROI: Social Return on Investments: Based on facts and monitarisation of social effects investment in communities. Costs and Revenues. What we learned : Systematic appraoch Value of measuring concrete effects Examples of projects: Fighting fuel poverty with 6 fte energy advisors Job provision via contracted building companies Apprenticeship and training young people Fighting Food Poverty by providing meals (deal with supermarkets) Click & Connect: Free internet and courses, given by youth Recycle furniture : free for low income people
