Chris Parks AKA: Pale Horse
"Pale Horse is the design studio and gallery of Chris Parks. He works in a number of mediums assisted digitally, inspired by his love for tattoo art, Japanese culture, mythology and horror movies. A screen-printed, day-glo/blacklight reflective, diptych poster artwork created for back to back 'Primus and the Chocolate Factory' shows. The line art again is created with Wacom Cintiq and Photoshop.

Depicting spirituality across multiple lifetimes , Chris Park incorporates blends Hindu and Egyptian elements into something psychedelic and new.

'Through The Gateway' (2015) This work explores the cosmological concept of duality through the Hindu goddess of birth destruction and time Kali. Screen-printed, using Day-glo inks on Shine Onyx, Shimmer Metallic, cover stock it truly shines under a darklight. The line art is created using Wacom Cintiq and Photoshop. I first posed a 3D model of my basic female figure as a reference for the anatomy and lighting.

‘Night Terrors of the Owl Witch’
Inspired by luchadore wrestling, this work explores a number of paranormal concepts such as alternate dimensions and ESP. Here the owl represents pain fear and self doubt. This work was a collabortion with professional wrestler Su Yung and costume designer Lince Dorado.

From what I’ve seen Chris Parks work across a number of media combines a number of gothic influences old and new and achieves a balance between digital and traditional art methods.
