SNMP southbound plugin:
Provides connectivity to SNMP devices Read, write, processing of traps, device status (reachability) Integrates SNMP devices into MD-SAL Achieved by use of YANG models (converted from MIB models) True southbound operation – devices are accessed through mount points Traps are distributed as MD-SAL notifications Operates in clustered environment Access do SNMP devices across cluster even if device is not accessible on that cluster node Trap delivery to every cluster node

MIB -> YANG conversion (based on RFC6643) Supported SNMP versions: SNMPv2 and SNMPv3 SNMP devices are managed through Configurational Datastore SNMP devices are accessed through mount points Traps distribution as MD-SAL notifications Collection of various statistics from SNMP devices Periodic check for device availability Operation in cluster
