Paper 1: Explorations in Creative Reading and Writing Exam: 1 hr 45 50% Section A: Non Fiction and Literary Non Fiction 19th Century and 20th/21st Century - 2 extracts/4 questions including comparison Choose four statements below which are TRUE. Use details from both sources. Write a summary of the differences between... How does the writer use language to…? Compare how the two writers convey their different attitudes to… Section B: Writing to Present a Viewpoint – 1 question Writing to argue or describe. For example: ‘Homework has no value.
