2 INVITE ONLY x THE RELEASE
A part of building anticipation for HUFW will include helping our demographic gain a better understanding of what HUFW is and what they can expect from it. The release event/party will be an invite only event to “reveal” all of the great things HUFW has in store. Shortly after the release of the HUFW Video Shoot, HUFW staff will promote THE INVITE ONLY release party on social media. This party will be exclusive with an inside look on what the HUFW brand is about and what it’s bringing to the table. Invites will be carefully selected (we want influencers in attendance). To receive an invite to this reveal party you MUST be on twitter and instagram. An “It goes down in the DM’s” approach will be taken to send out invitations for this event  Promotion for this event will be hush hush and mysterious to build curiosity. After a few silent graphics are dropped by the HUFW staff we will drop the requirements for the invites. Since HUFW staff are influential in the Howard/DMV community and have a great social media presence, I figured we could use this to our advantage. The goal of this event is to both build our social media following by using an exclusive party invite as an incentive as well as get the word about the magic HUFW will be creating.

4 HUFW x First Friday HUFW would partner with UGSA to host March’s first Friday. This would be a promotional event for HUFW to represent the brand and showcase the staff/HUFW achievements. Flyers/handbills can be passed out during this event. HUFW would be heavily promoted with social media campaigns/selfies/videos posted to instagram and twitter of the HU First Friday turn up. HUFW staff would be dressed to impress (true to personal style). The #InviteOnly will be heavily promoted at this First Friday, with the “follow us on social media” for an invite initiative. By this time the party should have picked up buzz. Followers tweeting/posting selfies/videos from First Friday with the hashtag #HUFW will have the opportunity to receive a personal invite to the party in their DM’s. (SN: Having some kind of HUFW shirts for First Friday would be great) The Invite Only/Reveal party would be set up similar to the video concept/promo video and take place the following night.

5 Building content = followers
Apart of building followers will include pushing consistent content for people to follow. As we work to bring HUFW to life there are a few digital concepts we can deliver to help bring more attraction to our page (twitter/ig). Building social media content will be a STAFF effort We will utilize the talents of our staff to push weekly posts that align with our HUFW brand/event concepts. See next slide for examples.

6 WEEKLY CONTENT The following topics will be considered for building weekly content: MUSIC FASHION STYLING/FASHION TRENDS CLOSET NECESSITIES SNEAKER RELEASES MAKEUP NEEDS/BEAUTY TIPS Each department/select staff members will be required to produce content on each topic. Social media applications outside of twitter and instagram will be used as a part of this task. (Medium, Polyvore, Pinterest etc.)

7 MUSIC (Dodger, DJ Swerve)
Upcoming mixtapes, album releases, hot tracks, concerts or collaborations can be featured under this topic. Social media applications such as Medium will be used for this section. FASHION (Tekiah, Kelsi, Marly) Upcoming fashion designers, fashion trends and events can be featured under this topic. Any content related to the upcoming HUFW main fashion show can also be featured. Fun articles such as upcoming sales, great cyber sites to shop for clothes or Spring Break as well as closet necessities can also be posted. Social media applications such as Medium and Pinterest can be used for this section. STYLING/PROMOTING TRENDY FITS (Howard, Kaia, Kelsi, Nick) Social media applications such as Polyvore can be featured for this section. Outfits for special events or even everyday fits can be styled and posted on the HUFW accounts. SNEAKER RELEASES (Miles, Azia, Skip) Sneaker releases should be posted with brief details on the retailer, shoe inspiration, release date and any necessary information. All content related to Snearkcon can also be featured. Social Media applications such as Medium can be used for this application. MAKEUP NEEDS/BEAUTY TIPS (Kelsi, Kaia, Marly, Whitney) Social media applications such as Pinterest and Medium can be used for this section. Make up needs, favorite brands/brush tools, skin cleansers after a fresh face beat and makeup tutorials can be posted under this section.

8 A staff of writers will be selected to assist with final postings.
M U S I C (Mondays) F A S H I O N (Wednesdays) S T Y L I N G / F A S H I O N T R E N D S (Thursdays) M A K E U P N E E D S / B E A U T Y T I P S (Saturdays) S N E A K E R R E L E A S E S (Sundays) Developing content will consist of a drafted detailing the tentative topics discussed in each section for the week. Each section will be tasked with coming up with the topic and the background information. How content will be structured and posted will be determined by the Marketing department. A staff of writers will be selected to assist with final postings. Each section will have days their content is expected to be released. Content will be important for department representation as we prep behind scenes for the HUFW. If our HUFW website has a blog section this would be perfect for keeping a catalog of HUFW content.

9 HUFW CASTING CALL as an additional event, how cool would it be to turn our HUFW casting call into a mini fashion show. We want the same turn out as the HUFW interest meeting AND TO PROVIDE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE TO COME OUT AND INTERACT WITH HUFW STAFF/PROMOTE THE BRAND ETC. MODELS FOR THE CASTING CALL WOULD BE REQUIRED TO COME IN SPECIFIC ATTIRE/DIFFERENT LOOKS ETC. THE VENUE (BLACKBURN BALLROOM IF POSSIBLE?) WOULD BE SET UP WITH CHAIRS ALIGNING EACH SIDE OF THE CATWALK. IF POSSIBLE (NATURAL) MAKE UP AND HAIR WOULD BE PROVIDED AS AN INCENTIVE FOR THE MODELS TO GIVE IT THEIR ALL AND WOW THE HUFW STAFF. THE CASTING CALL WOULD BE OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY WITH DJ SWERVE MIXING FOR THE CROWD. HOWARD LOVES A GOOD EVENT, BUT THEY LOVE A MINI TURN UP EVEN MORE. THIS IS AN INTERSTING WAY TO MIX UP YOUR TYPICAL CASTING CALL AND PROMOTE THE HUFW BRAND ALL AT THE SAME TIME. DURING THIS TIME HUFW SOCIALS WOULD BE PROMOTED.

10 BLACK HISTORY MONTH In honor of Black History Month I thought it would be amazing to recreate/honor groundbreaking figures in art and fashion. This project would be expected to be a viral photo-shoot and draw attention to HUFW and the HUFW socials. The shoot can be released in various formats: polaroid's, basic backdrops, scenery etc. Models would dress as modern version of the influential figure/recreate influential images EX: Basquiat
