What Baptism Does Water baptism – Acts 10:47-48
Of Believers – Mark 16:16, Acts 8:37 One baptism – Ephesians 4:4-6

Baptism in the name of Jesus is:
Not an outward sign of an inward grace. Not because we are already saved. Not to enter a denomination. Not to signify our inclusion in God’s family.

Is for the remission of sins.

For Remission of Sins Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins;… eis, Strong’s G1519, Translated “for” - NKJV, ESV, NIV, NASB, etc., “unto” – ASV; cf. Mat. 26:28, Heb. 9:22 Acts 22:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’ Ephesians 5:25-27 Matthew 26:28 28 For this is My blood of the new[a] covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Hebrews 9:22 …without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Is for the remission of sins. Gets us in Christ.

Gets us into Christ. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, “This phrase, or its equivalent, "occurs one hundred seventy-six times in the Pauline writings, thirty-six times in Ephesians alone.” D. Gets us into Christ. Galatians 3:26-27
Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. The New Birth Takes Place in Baptism
John 3:3-5, cf. Ephesians 5:26 Romans 6:3-4 Colossians 2:12-13, Titus 3:4-5 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Baptism Is Necessary for Salvation.
Mark 16: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And – conjunction(used to connect grammatically coordinate words, phrases, or clauses) along or together with; as well as; in addition to; besides; also; moreover Coordinate – adjective 1. of the same order or degree; equal in rank or importance. 4.Grammar. of the same rank in grammatical construction, as Jack and Jill in the phrase Jack and Jill, or got up and shook hands in the sentence He got up and shook hands.

Baptism Is Necessary for Salvation.
Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. “Condemnation is for the one who doesn’t believe, not the one who isn’t baptized.” John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” cf. Acts 8:36-37

Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. “Condemnation is for the one who doesn’t believe, not the one who isn’t baptized.” He who believes and raises his hand will receive $1,000,000.

1 Peter 3:18-21 1 Peter 3:21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (ESV) Colossians 2: So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Baptism Is Necessary for Salvation.
Acts 2:36-41 40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. ESV Save yourselves from this crooked generation.

Confess – Matthew 10:32-33 Be Baptized – Mark 16:16 Be Faithful – Revelation 2:10
