Highly influenced by the American and French revolutions Places great importance on LINE and DRAWING Hey It’s the ENLIGHTENMENT so why not have an “ism” that celebrates the era that gave us reason in the first place: CLASSICAL GREECE & ROME!!!

Romanticism : Shares many of the same subjects as Neoclassicism Bold COLOR, MOVEMENT and loosened brushwork Highly EMOTIONAL and often very POLITICAL an interest in the EXOTIC (especially non-western cultures) often shows a healthy respect of mother nature and wilderness. Individualism is increasingly important (both in technique and in iconography).
