2. Why and when they were created and who created them.
To prevent instability and abuse of power
To keep restrictions in order to prevent anarchy
James Madison is the man considered to have created the Bill of Rights.
Created on March 4, 1789

3. The First Amendment
This amendment to the U.S Constitution gives the rights you are born with.
This consists of freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of petitioning, and freedom of assembly

4. The Second Amendment
This amendment to the Constitution gives the right to bear arms
It also gives the right to forming a militiab

5. The Third Amendment
This amendment gives the right that no soldier is allowed to quarter, or live in someone’s house without the permission of the house’s owner.

6. The Fourth Amendment
Protects the people against searches that are deemed unreasonable
Also gives the right that no warrant will be issued unless it is actually reasonable

7. The Fifth Amendment
Protects the people’s rights of people being accused of a crime.
Says that people must be indicted before being put on trial
Similar to a habeas corpus/magna carta

8. The Sixth Amendment Similar to the sixth amendment.
Requires that people must tell the exactly nature of the charges against them
Also requires accused people to be allowed a trial by jury.
The accused individual(s) are supposed to have the right to hear the witnesses against them. It also grants the accused to bring in witnesses in their defense.

9. The Seventh Amendment
Amendment seven guarantees that if the money involved is more than $20, a jury trial may occur.
The trial is not requires.
The dispute can be settled by the judge by both sides.

10. The Eighth Amendment Forbids excessively high fees in any case.
Also forbids what they call ‘cruel and unusual punishment’.
Cruel and unusual punishment is very commonly disputed by Americans.

11. The Ninth Amendment
Amendment 9 says that the rights of the constitution are not the only rights of an American citizen.

12. The Tenth Amendment
Discusses the principles of a federalist government
Federalism – A form of government in which power is shared between the national government and the states.
Also says that any power the constitution doesn’t give specifically to the National Government are reserved for states and for the American people

13. Final details The Bill of Rights were only the first ten amendments
There have been 27 amendments in all, the last one being made in 1992
