New Account Steps 1. “Create Client” & Select Account Type If opening a new account for an EXISTING CLIENT, see page 14. Ensure Rep Code is accurate If the trust has its own Tax ID, open the account as a Business Trust The following account types require an additional print-only form that will be presented to you later for completion: Beneficiary IRA & Roth Beneficiary IRA Transfer on Death (TOD) Designation SIMPLE IRA Print-only forms must be uploaded back into the client’s account (see page 15 for more information). Qualified Retirement Plans are not currently supported through this path, to open this type of account please contact the TFA Home Office. For Investment Advisor Use Only. New Account Steps 2. Personal & Contact Information If the client does not have an address, an account may not be opened for them. Clients without an address can easily open up an account Please note that the clients username cannot be changed later. You will need to provide the client with his/her username. If a client’s information cannot be automatically validated the account will have an additional “Riskwise Fail” restriction. Please contact Folio Institutional Support. For a Revocable Trust the Personal Information is for the trustee, – additional trustees may be added later. Never use the browser back button, instead use the navigation bar at the bottom. New Account Steps 3. Employment Information All fields in this section are required. If the client is affiliated with a FINRA member firm then a print-only FINRA form will be presented to you later for completion. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Not For Distribution to the Public.

New Account Steps 4. Review Information Other account types will have additional screens before the review page, these include: Enter joint owner (Joint Accounts) Specify beneficiaries (IRAs, etc.) Add trustees (Revocable Trust, etc.) Authorized Representative (Corporations, etc.) To edit any information click the ‘ next to the section title. For a new account for an existing client, make sure all information is complete and up to date – contact Folio Institutional Support to make updates (cover page required). The account will be created in the system after this screen. You may leave and return to the application at any time after this point. For Investment Advisor Use Only. New Account Steps 5. Bank Link (Optional) When adding a bank link click, “Add New Bank Link” before clicking Next. Multiple bank links may be added on this screen. If opening a new account for an existing client, you may select from their existing bank links (so you don’t have to reenter information). If a bank link is added an Owner Verification form will be delivered later. The Owner Verification form does not have to be signed to send the application to the TFA Home Office. The bank link requires micro deposit confirmation, which can be entered by the advisor or client. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Not For Distribution to the Public.

New Account Steps 6. Investor Questionnaire All questions in this section must be answered to continue. The first 6 questions determine the client’s risk profile. The questionnaire results are shown on the next screen. The client can complete the questionnaire again at a later time if their risk profile changes. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Select an Account Strategy A suggested blend of strategies is provided for each risk profile The following rules apply if a custom strategy is selected: No more than 5 models can be selected. A blend can include models from multiple risk categories. However, the total risk score of the blend of strategies must be within the client’s risk profile range or in the next higher or lower range. For example, a Moderate Aggressive strategy would be allowed for a Moderate client. Model fact sheets are available in the Custom Strategy page and on the Strategy Review page. Review Strategy The Investment Policy Statement can be previewed before continuing to the Required Documents list Deposit Based Investing defaults to “Yes” Cash deposits are automatically invested into the selected strategy. A small percentage of each deposit will remain in cash to cover future account fees. Orders will be created the night the cash becomes available for trading. Orders will execute the next day in the 11AM EST window. This feature can be turned off at any time. go to ‘Setup Auto Buy/Sell’ menu) For Investment Advisor Use Only. New Account Steps 9. Required Documents & Signature Choice Account opening documents are listed for preview. You will be prompted with the Investor Questionnaire and Client Risk Profile regardless of signature path. You may return to this screen at a later time. Client Signatures may be obtained with the client being present, remote, or by printing the documents. Sign Now – go through each document with the client present and obtain (electronic) signatures. Remote Signature – The client will login and sign documents at their own convenience. Print – The client will sign paper documents and you will have to upload back to the clients account on the Folio website. Do not send forms directly to Folio Institutional Support. Sign Now and Remote Signature are not available for print-only forms; there will be a separate page to print these documents. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Not For Distribution to the Public.

New Account Steps 10. Application Complete! If all documents were signed through the Sign Now path then the application will be electronically sent to the Home Office. The application will be “Awaiting Client Signatures” for Print or Remote Signature path. To upload signed documents, return to the client’s account and attach the documents to the corresponding Item for Attention. To initiate an account transfer return to the client’s account and select “Securities Transfer” from the account drop-down. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Not For Distribution to the Public.

New Account - Existing Client
Find the target client on your home screen. Click “Create Account” from the Account Options drop-down (see arrow below). Follow the account opening path. Create a New Client for any corporate accounts. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Not For Distribution to the Public.

Upload Required Documents
Go to client’s account and select “Items for Attention” under More Info. Click “Choose File” below the document and attach the corresponding document. Click “Submit”. Attach all required account opening documents. Unless otherwise instructed, DO NOT send the account opening documents to Folio Institutional Support directly as this will significantly delay the process. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Welcome to Folio Client – Please Create Your Password This message is sent to any new client. You must provide the client his/her username. The token expire after 7 days. Change Account Strategy
Go to the client’s account and select “Strategy Selection” from their account drop-down. Choose strategy path. (see page 10 for rules on custom strategies) Review the strategy. Click “Subscribe” on subscription page. Settings are preset. Click “Preview Order” on place an account trade page. Place and confirm order. Trades will be scheduled for next available trading window. If the client’s risk profile changes, then the client will have to sign a new Investment Policy Statement. You can choose the signature path after selecting a strategy. Manage Bank Links Go to the client’s account and select “Transfer Money” from their account drop-down. If you add a new EFT bank link then the client must sign an Owner Verification form, either online or on paper, and they must also confirm Micro Deposit amounts. For instructions on other methods select the corresponding deposit or withdrawal type and follow the steps. If there is not enough cash available for a customer transfer request, positions will need to be liquidated. The system will not automatically liquidate assets to cover withdrawals. Initiate Account Transfer
From client home screen select “Transfer Account” from the Account Options drop-down. Follow the account transfer screens. Remote Signature is not currently supported, so the client must either Sign Now if the transfer is ACAT eligible, or sign and return a printed copy. Send the signed copy to Folio Institutional support. Transfer document uploads are not currently supported. For Investment Advisor Use Only. Not For Distribution to the Public.

Buy/Sell at Account Level
Go to the client’s account and select “Place an Account Trade” from their account drop-down. Choose order type and click “Preview Order” Select Buy/Sell Synchronize to add or remove cash and also move the account back towards target weights. Select Sell All to liquidate the account. Select Synchronize only to rebalance the account to target weights. Place and confirm order. Trades will be scheduled for next available trading window. For Investment Advisor Use Only.
