Lesson Focus:
Bible Verse : “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” Deuteronomy 6:4 (Test Friday) Bible Lesson : Jesus in the Beginning
Reading: “Gloria Who Might Be My Best Friend” (vocab will be on back and the website)
Math: Adding with carrying; measuring to the nearest inch; multiplication facts
English: Complete sentences; kinds of sentences
Science: Chapter 1: Ecosystems (Vocabulary words will be on the website)
Handwriting Focus: Manuscript Review
Spelling: Lesson 1: Consonants & Short Vowels; see Spelling City link on our website
Please check website for spelling words and vocabulary to study for tests
Beginning Monday, your child will need to start recording their reading in the agenda. Each child is expected to read 20 minutes/night 5 days/week and record the book title and page numbers read in the agenda. This will be checked each day.
Thursday August 24th is Parent Night! Parents will meet in the gym at 7PM for general announcements. Following this meeting, we will gather in our class room to hear info about the exciting year we have planned for your child!
