Course Requirements Hawaii High School Diploma English 4 credits including: English 1 (1 credit) , English 2 (1 credit), Literature (.5 credit)/ Expository Writing (0.5 credit) & English 4 (1 credit) Social Studies Modern History of Hawaii (0.5 credit) and Participation in a Democracy (0.5 credit), US (1 credit), World (1 credit), Elective (.5/.5 credit) Math 3 credits including: Algebra 1 (1 credit), Geometry (1 credit) and Math Elective (1 credit) Science Biology (1 credit) and Laboratory Science electives (2 credits) World Language, Fine Arts or Career & Tech Education (CTE) 2 credits in one of the specified programs of study Physical Education 1 credit Health 0.5 credit Personal Transition Plan Electives 6.0 credits TOTAL 24 credits Graduation Requirements
