ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE
A common platform where individuals work in unison to earn profits as well as a livelihood for themselves is called an organization. A place where individuals realize the dream of making it big is called an organization. Every organization has its unique style of working which often contributes to its culture. The beliefs, ideologies, principles and values of an organization form its culture. The culture of the workplace controls the way employees behave amongst themselves as well as with people outside the organization. UNIT V O & B

The culture decides the way employees interact at their workplace The culture of the workplace also goes a long way in promoting healthy competition at the workplace The culture of an organization represents certain predefined policies which guide the employees and give them a sense of direction at the workplac The work culture goes a long way in creating the brand image of the organization UNIT V O & B

ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE
Organizational climate (sometimes known as Corporate Climate) is the process of quantifying the “culture” of an organization. It is a set of properties of the work environment, perceived directly or indirectly by the employees, that is assumed to be a major force in influencing employee behavior UNIT V O & B

The first and foremost influential factor that affects the climate is the management philosophy. If the company is wedded to such a policy that it effectively utilizes its resources both human as well as non human, then it can be concluded that the climate is good UNIT V O & B

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Structure of an organization represents another variable that affects climate. It needs no criterion that structure is a framework that establishes formal relationships and delineates authority and functional responsibility. Further, the actual arrangement of the hierarchy is also to be considered, for it affects climate UNIT V O & B

PROCESS In every organization certain processes are vital so that it runs. Communication, decision making, motivation and leadership are some of the very important process through which the management carries out its objectives. In all these processes, the relationship between superior and subordinate is visible and therefore, the supervisor cannot afford to ignore this visible interface. UNIT V O & B

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT The external condition of environment, the size and location of the building in which an employee works, the size of city, weather or the place-all affect the organizational climate UNIT V O & B

SYSTEMS VALUES AND NORMS
Every organization has discernible and fairly evident formal value system where kinds of behaviors are rewarded and encouraged and certain kinds of behavior forces an individual to formal sanctions. The formal value system is communicated to the employees through rules, regulation and policies. Although, in every institution the informal organization also exists the value system of informal groups are very difficult to ascertain. But from the point of view of organizational climate, both formal and informal groups are very powerful in exerting influence, on climate UNIT V O & B
