2 What it is and how it works
Quizslides is a web-based platform to create multiple choice tests using powerpoint slides It was developed in conjunction with London South Bank University How it works Prepare the multiple choice questions in Powerpoint and upload the file. Done.

3 Referencing quizzes https://quizslides.com/quizslides/WYKmhT
There was a demand for more referencing support We have already prepared some referencing questions for our library sessions It is a quick fix – free and easy to use Four quizzes produced: Harvard, APA, Oscola, Numeric styles Students get to see how well they did at the end Good for self assessment

4 Drawbacks It has to be a multiple choice test with four answers (ABCD) – no true/false. We can’t give immediate feedback to the wrong answer

5 What we would have done differently and the next step
Have less questions? More images and less words on each slides – use Word to create the test? Look at the test results to see which questions are more difficult Consider to use it to create an IT self-assessment (on word, excel etc.) a library test on finding materials/using journals as part of the course assignment

6 Quizslides vs Examslides
Good for formative assessment no sign-in required users can select options repeatedly until they get the right answer for each question, but one mark is deducted each time a wrong answer is selected - pure guesswork is not rewarded Good for self assessment Good for summative assessment users must identify themselves before they begin a time limit can be set − time taken is shown and recorded exam scores and correct answers may be revealed or withheld multiple attempts by the same user may be allowed or disallowed questions can be randomized when using traditional test formats
