Introductions and Overview
Betcha Never! Group Courtesy’s Parking Lot Introduction- who you are? Where are you traveling from? What is your experience with Naccrraware? Come up with one thing that is true of them that they think no one else can claim to be true. State name and betcha never?!?! Outcome and Objectives
Outcome: Child Care Resources and Referral Staff will gain an understanding of NACCRRAware and be able to effectively enter child care providers into NACCRRAware. Objectives: Participants will be aware of the purpose of NACCRRAware for both 211info and CCR&R’s. Participants will understand the basic functions of Client Side of NACCRRAware. Participants will understand how to connect Providers and families with 211info Foundational to be able to understand data in NACCRRAware so that we are able to bring the knowledge of what is in NACCRRAware so we can work on reports and helping you use the data for the work you are doing.

Work with more than 400 state and local Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agencies nationwide. NACCRRAware Currently used Not currently used National Data System for child care (NDS) – Generates child care referrals and reports, and manages provider, client, and community data. Online Referral Module ( – Allows for clients to search for providers through an online application. Online Provider Services (OPS) – Allows providers to review and update their NDS data online. Child Care Online (CCO) – Provides a “virtual” tour of child care programs, complete with pictures and descriptions, to help customers learn more about a particular child care provider. Quality Indicators (QI) – Provides an easy to understand profile to parents to highlight and outline the quality areas of a care facility.

Understanding that not all these sections are utilized however, that each section is connected to one another to create an effective parent referral. Understanding how these are all connected and hold similar information will be key to understanding how the client side of Naccrra and the Provider side work together.

Action Logs: Understanding Enhanced and Basic Referral?
What is the difference? Basic referral - A current or potential DHS client requests child care provider information, via phone call, walk-in or . The 211info/CCR&R provides the standard consumer education material online or in writing, Or the CCR&R gives a provider the DHS provider pre-listing form. Enhanced Referral – A current or potential DHS client requests child care provider information, via phone call, walk-in or . The 211 info/CCR&R completes a basic referral plus additional information about: quality child care, continuity of care, DHS benefits, special needs or other needed resources. Including any CCR&R collaboration with local DHS staff to assist DHS TANF/JOBS families with child care options during TANF orientations. Or assisting providers with the DHS 7494 Provider Listing form; including answering questions about the form, assisting with the completion of the form; answering questions that require the use of DHS provider pay screens, contacting DPU or DHS Policy. Confidentiality NACCRRAware Access Data Sharing NACCRRAware access
It is not explicitly stated, but it is inferred that by requesting access that you will work to protect the data in the system. On the provider side: not sharing information with other providers or having data up on the screen when working with other people. On the client side: not prompting return callers, not sharing data with any partners (211) without agreements WIP – Working with ELD, 211, TRI, DHS to figure out how to formalize confidentially agreements Data Sharing Requests from HUBS or new partners can be filtered through TRI via new request form.

This is an actual child care referral call from 211- information has been removed to protect the privacy of the parent and 211 child care referral specialist. This call is around 4 minutes long, this call was recorded back in December of We are listening to see what the parent is asking for? Child care referrals can be challenging to understand what the families know they are needing care. Child care referral calls can vary in length-

If you do not use CCRIS-P at least every 60 days, your account will go to an inactive status. This is the login screen that you should bookmark as a favorite in your preferred browser. TIP!!! Search by only one or two fields at a time if possible If search results are not returned – search by another field TIP! Be as broad as possible and then narrow your search if you do not have the License No or CCRISP No. TIP! Check All Records if you are not sure if the provider is active or want to see the provider’s license history.
