Number of Words The Legal Limit is 1500 words.
You can have a 10% discretion. Don’t exceed 1800. Don’t be too short (e.g. less than 1200).

Deadline 10th August pm. You are welcome to submit earlier than that, but NOT LATER. TURNITIN will not accept paper beyond this time. A Mini Grade will be deducted if your submission is late within 3 days, and a major grade within 6 days. Your paper will not be graded if it is submitted a WEEK after the deadline.

TURNITIN Percentage Remember to check the percentage of similarity using the Turnitin. Please make sure that it is not more than 25%. Acceptable range of similarity is around 15%. Worrying range: 25 or above%.

References There must be a reference section in your paper. (And yet, merely with a reference section is not enough to prove that you have not plagiarized material from other sources.) It is acceptable to quote my ppt and your fellow students’ ideas on the Blogs. (But it is never acceptable to use without quotation and publishing details.)

Proofreading You should always proofread your work.
Beware of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. Beware of typos. Check and double check your grammar. Make sure that you have not written wrongly of the name of philosophers – such as the difference between surname and first name. E.g. Milton Friedman, John Rawls, Robert Nozick, etc. No matter how many times you re-read your paper, you can always improve it further.

Introduction Don’t start from 道德經.
Don’t start from the nature of morality. Explain the question and its keywords. Show the readers your plan of arguments (how you plan to convince your readers). What is your overall position?

Do you know how to put forward an argument and defend it? Do you know how to argue against a certain position?
