6 Believers Are Not To Judge The Motives Of Other Believers
Believers make judgments based of what God’s Word says Believers cannot judge motives Can’t see motives Only God can see motives We can judge what people say, not why they say it We can judge what people do, not why they do it We can see and judge sinful behavior, but not the reason for it

7 Believers Are To Judge Themselves Before Judging Others

Believers judge themselves before judging others because: They will be judged – verse 2 So they will not be hypocritical – verses 2-5 So they can help others – verse 5 Believers are not to be actors

9 Believers Are Not To Concentrate On The Faults Of Others
Verse 3 3 different Greek words used for “to see”: Verse 3 – Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not NOTICE the log that is in your own eye?” Verse 5 – “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will SEE CLEARLY to take the speck out of your brother's eye.” Verse 3 – Why do you SEE the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?”

10 Believers Are Not To Concentrate On The Faults Of Others
Concentrating on the faults of others causes: Believers to become habitually critical (judgmental) of others Believers to forget God’s grace Believers are not to be speck finders
