2 Our mission Mission Statement
Our vision is to make a meaningful contribution to the experience of every University of Edinburgh student, inspiring and empowering them to be the best they can be, to fully develop their potential and to achieve satisfying and rewarding futures. We offer: A confidential service which offers client-centred guidance, impartial advice and unbiased information. Support to all students and graduates of up to two years.

3 Who we are We have two locations: central campus and King’s Building campus Approximately 40 full time equivalent staff in 6 teams: Leadership Team Career Consultants Employer Relations Internships Team Information Advisers Administration Consultants have responsibility for one or two schools Employer relations seek to maintain and build relationships with a wide range of employers, Internships team have grown our on-campus internship programme Information Advisers support students in navigating the wealth of careers information out there, ensuring that the information we provide them with is valid Administration hugely important in supporting

4 What we do Careers Information
We maintain a large website and database of careers resources Students can access information in person at our Careers Information Centres We provide regular news updates through MyCareerHub, Facebook page, Twitter feed and blogs. Advice and guidance We offer 20 minute appointments for help with: career options, CV and application feedback, developing LinkedIn profiles Students and graduates can also book 45 minute careers guidance appointments (by referral only) for a more in depth discussion to support career planning and career decision making. We offer 2x 45 minute practice job interviews per individual per year All the above are available in person, by phone or via Skype.

5 What we do Access to internships, jobs and opportunities
We advertise graduate jobs, internships, placements, vacation work and other opportunities such as insight weeks. Opportunities for part-time and seasonal employment. Opportunity to meet prospective employers We facilitate opportunities for students to actively engage with a range of employers on campus. Programme of events Extensive range of employer led presentations, skills sessions, panel events and forums. Group sessions to support personal development, careers awareness and employability – accessible face to face and online.
