What’s available?
Most North West Trusts offer summer vacation placements, to provide work experience in hospital pharmacy to Pharmacy Undergraduates. Placements will normally be up to four weeks but duration may vary.
How to apply?
If you are interested in a particular hospital you should make enquiries directly to the Hospital Pharmacy Department.
What to include with your application?
When applying to hospitals please check their website before sending a CV and covering letter, as they may provide their own documentation. It is useful to indicate dates when you are available as some Trusts offer a number of placements over the summer. Make sure you give a current contact address, address and telephone numbers. It is also useful to provide information of any work experience that you may have undertaken previously in pharmacy or otherwise.
The closing date for applications varies for different Trusts but is usually before the end of December 2016.
Please check the application process and closing dates with the individual Trusts.
What happens next?
Trusts that have a large number of applicants may hold interviews. Other Trusts may notify applicants if they are successful without an interview.
