Co-production – “No decision about me, without me!” Doncaster Cancer survivorship developed by coproduction >> the perspective of the PABC >>> empowerment What is coproduction? A way of working whereby decision makers, people who use services, family carers and service providers work together to create a decision or service which works for them all. The approach is value driven and built on the principle that those who use a service are best placed to help design it. Public events and how we developed the “I” statements Briefly explain how the steering group was formed and the benefits This has not happened overnight – Macmillan Cancer support has been working on the Doncaster Cancer Survivorship project for the last two years and has invested over £800,000 into Doncaster cancer survivorship services.
