2. SDCOE Designated Subjects: An Historical Look
1980’s – 1995: Guidelines based program, services provided and funded by SDCOE ROP
1995: Standards Based Program, services provided and funded by SDCOE ROP, ROP Districts, & Ad. Ed. Districts
2007: Due to Flexibility, ROP District Contributions ended, and Ad. Ed District contributions continued until 2016
2014: SDCOE ROP dissolved. No longer funding any credentialing services. ROP Mgt Staff reassigned to Learning and Leadership Services.
July1, 2015: Designated Subjects Program Services assigned to HR
November, 2015: Coordinator hired to develop cost recovery DS model

3. Designated Subjects Transition Timeline
All UCSD Coursework must be completed by June 30th ; any coursework completed after June 30th will not be accepted towards earning the Clear Credential
SDCOE Coursework begins July 11th; registration begins June 1st
Online Courses only
Up to 4 courses needed, depending on credential type
Cost: Through SDCOE - $2300 for all 4 courses
University credits extra through Brandman University
