You either do Higher or Foundation papers throughout your GCSE course. We give you great advice on which papers are best for you to take. It’s based partly on your GCSE predicted grade and partly on your past paper marks throughout both years.

Work experience, part-time jobs, future careers, technology (sending messages, accessing information). The Wider World Travel and holidays, media, social issues (e,g, life of young people today, homelessness, crime, drugs, healthy living, religion, politics),life in the countries and communities where the language is spoken.

How parents can help Vocab tests During the year we have weekly vocabulary tests. Students are expected to go home and learn the words given to them, to be tested on the following week. Previous students have said how valuable these vocab tests have been, as they say they learnt so many more words this way. You can help them to learn by practising the spellings with them Revision sessions Encourage students to go to our revision sessions on Wednesday Lunchtimes in L4 Mentoring sessions Encourage students to go to mentoring sessions
