2 PFA ethos and values We believe that our human scale learning environments are important in helping us promote equality, develop respect for others, and celebrate diversity. Excellence In our schools we aspire to provide the highest quality of education to enable all our students to achieve excellence and develop into inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people. Innovation We invest in our students and staff so they develop the independence of spirit to pioneer new ideas, to evaluate a range of views, and are willing to grow from the experience. Collaboration Our model of a group of small schools working for mutual benefit delivers economies of scale in both resources and staffing as well as widening opportunity and promoting community cohesion.

Success for one - is success for all, so support is given willingly A strong governance structure with a multi-academy trust board that gives School Boards the support they need to effectively raise standards

4 What PFA offers Centralised management of resources such as back room services to help relieve financial pressure A larger group of schools that can recruit, retain and deploy staff very effectively with access to shared continuous professional learning and talent streams A community with a large body of students at different stages of their educational journey with opportunities to influence standards, choices and progression pathways

5 Connecting business needs with skilled young people By working with partners in industry and higher education, we will: Deliver science and health based Level 3 technical qualifications and apprenticeships for the Greater Cambridge area Develop young people with the high demand skills that meet employers’ needs and support growth. Ensure that our young people have direct access to the careers and opportunities available in the local jobs market

6 UTC Cambridge will: Be a key partner in securing the future economic growth of Greater Cambridge as a leading UK and global hub for research and technology in science based industries. Provide an educational pathway to technical careers in bio-medical, clean- tech, technology, and advanced manufacturing industries, often referred to as the STEM subjects – science, technology, engineering and maths. Develop a talented workforce with the academic qualifications technical and professional skills required by these businesses Our vision is your vision Local and national skills gaps in science and technology careers are filled Students participate and collaborate as active partners in learning
