Student Bulletin Monday 5th June 2017 (Week A) Assembly theme:- Recognise Achievement “Achievement results from work realising ambition”

2 Message from the Head Teacher
Congratulations to the Year 7/8 Rounders Team who won at Lister last week. Thank you to the PASS Group who have planted up the tomato and chilli plants that I brought in from home. I look forward to hearing when they are ripe so that I can enjoy some for my lunch.

3 Message from the Head Teacher
Well done to all pupils in the very mature and determined way in which you have prepared for an approached your summer exams. Good luck! Mr Ross has been challenged to recite Shakespeare’s sonnet number 18 – “Shall I Compare Thee………..” by Year 9 pupils. Mr Ross will be carrying out his recital in Ms Borland’s class next half term.

4 Shall I Compare Thee….. Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date. Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st, Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade, When in eternal lines to Time thou grow’st. So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

5 Message from Ms Sarkar Summer Progress Exams – May 15-June 22
