Brainstorm some ways that spreadsheets can be used in everyday life:
Sports Stats (e.g., batting average)
Grades
Budgets
Inventory
Buying a car

6. Basic Formulas Addition – Formula is
=cell 1+cell2+cell3+cell4 (and so on)
Example:
=a1+a2+a3+a4 will add the values in cells a1, a2, a3 and a4

7. Basic Formulas Subtraction – Formula is =cell 1-cell4 Example:
=a1-a4 will subtract the value in cell a4 from the value in a1

8. Basic Formulas Multiply – Formula is =cell 1*cell4 Example:
=a1*a4 will multiply the value in cell a1 by the value in a4

9. Basic Formulas Divide – Formula is =cell 1/cell4 Example:
=a1/a4 will divide the value in cell a1 by the value in a4

10. Basic Formulas Relative Vs. Absolute Cell References.
Relative cell reference identifies the location of a cell and changes when the formula is copied and pasted to other cells. An absolute cell reference does not change.

11. Assignment Create a spreadsheet with the following formulas: Addition
Subtraction
Multiplication
Division
Relative Cell Reference
