1 Hélène and Kamilia's Basboussa
(We pronouce it "Bousboussa)

2 The ingredients: To make the cake: To make the syrup: 5eggs
20 cl. Of milk 400g of extra fine semolina 2 sachets of baking powder 20cl. Of sunflower oil 200g of sugar To make the syrup: 300g of sugar 50cl. of water 2 tablespoon of honey

3 The utensils: A pan A pie-dish A bowl A spoon A whisk A sieve

4 STEP ONE Preheat the oven at 180°.

5 STEP TWO In a bowl, beat the eggs with a whisk.

6 STEP TRHEE While beat the eggs, add the sugar, the oil, the milk and the baking powder and whisk.

7 STEP FOUR When the mixture is smooth, add the semolina and whisk again.

8 STEP FIVE When the mixture is smooth, pour it into a pie-dish and bake it for 40min.

9 STEP SIX While the cake is cooking, prepare the syrup: take a pan and pour water in it, add the sugar and the honey and whisk until it's smooth. Then cook it and count 15 min after boiling and take it off the heat.

10 STEP SEVEN When the cake is cooked, pour the syrup on the top with a sieve as soon as the cake is off the heat.

11 Now it's done and you can eat it. Bon appétit!
