In 2001, the Barge Program was named one of five best practices in the Asia Pacific, by the UNEP (United Nations Environment Program). The program has become well-known among Thai Schools, International Schools, and organizations from many different countries. In 2008 IGES recognized the program as one of good practice in the field of education for sustainability. All staff have degrees from international or Thai universities, and are CPR and First Aid certified. Jon
