EuroNNAc2 – Organization
Member’s board: 1 representative per each of the 50 participating universities/institutes/labs. Assembles once per year for yearly meeting (2014: at DESY). Takes major decisions. Steering board: Runs day to day business. Implements decisions. Organizes meetings, etc… R. Assmann (DESY), M. Ferrario (INFN Frascati), B. Holzer (CERN), J. Osterhoff (DESY), A. Seryi (JAI, Oxford), A. Specka (Ecole polytechnique Paris) EU offices: Instructions and help from EU offices at CERN, DESY, … NEW: ARD administrator at DESY provides direct manpower support for accelerator research projects (Helmholtz, EU, …).

Envisaged Implementation
Goal is to design one operational facility at one location. Resources will be distributed to all partners: Model of big particle physics detector: Many institutes team up to build one detector at one place, each contributing a part. Site study with the goal to propose the best site: Existing infrastructure, host lab support, scientific user community, support from funding agency, … Facility will be devoted to provide for pilot users: Ultra-compact X-ray FEL Ultra-compact GeV electron source for HEP detector development

Conclusion WP7 (EuroNNAc2) on track.
Exciting 1st European Advanced Accelerator Concepts workshop in Elba in 2013 Massimo Ferrario. Preparing the grand vision for novel accelerators with applications for science, medicine and society. 155p EU design study “EuPRAXIA” submitted. Two FET-OPEN proposals submitted out of EuroNNAc context. All EuroNNAc2 partners helping each other… A community is being formed.
