5 CIHS COUNSELORS & LIAISONS NETWORKING EVENTS: PURPOSE
Empower CIHS Counselors, College Liaisons, and all staff who support students to be school leaders and student advocates. Help you support all students and families to make informed decisions, and to fulfill their aspirations, by completing high school and career credentials, degrees, or transferable credit. Create a space for you to gather and share your ideas and practices – what topics should these sessions take up next? Encourage you to lead… Build leadership capacity in the school, not just the principal. (Know DPI supports) Share with you what we share with them. Let’s honor that each of you works closely with young people as they make the most critical decisions that determine future outcomes – noble work we’re proud to support. You can drive the content of these sessions… make them your own… leadership… less of us from now on, more of you all... Will ask for this input later this morning so be thinking…

“The State BOE and governing boards shall evaluate the success of students in CIHS. Success shall be measured by: High school retention rates High school completion rates High school dropout rates Certification and associate degree completion Admission to four year institutions Post-graduation employment”

7 CIHS ANNUAL REPORT: CELEBRATING SUCCESS
Enrollment in Cooperative Innovative High Schools in was 22,458 students. In total, 4,457 students graduated from Cooperative Innovative High Schools. Certification Completion: 755 CIHS students graduated with career certifications. Associate Degree Completion: 1,927 CIHS students graduated with an associate degree.

8 CELEBRATING CIHS SUCCESS
Admission to Four Year Institutions: 2,989 CIHS students were admitted to UNC System four year institutions. High school retention rates, completion rates and academic outcomes above state averages. High school drop-out rates below state averages. 95 out of 106 CIHS met or exceeded growth.

9 CIHS SUCCESS STORIES This report, for the first time, includes success stories from across North Carolina’s growing network of CIHS. These stories, of student and of school transformations, illustrate the powerful impact many CIHS are having in our communities. Annual CIHS Report: Pause to invite questions………..
