4 Section One Two questions: What do you want? Are you fanatic about it?
BASIC STEPS FOR ACHIEVING GOALS: 1. First, you must decide clearly what you WANT- not what you might occasionally wish for, or half-heartedly want - but determine that which you sincerely and earnestly DESIRE. 2. Then, write out SPECIFICALLY your EXACT goals, in the order of their importance, the things and conditions you really, truly want. 3. Set out, in writing, the desired DATE of the accomplishment of your goal . this does away with the “Someday, I’m gonna” syndrome. 4. Read the list of what you want THREE times a day - morning, noon, and night. See yourself enjoying the accomplishment of your goal... BELIEVE and you will ACHIEVE! Think of your goals throughout the day. If you ever slip toward worry, immediately stop yourself from this misuse of your imagination and reverse the worry process by dwelling on your DESIRED outcome.

5 Section One BASIC STEPS FOR ACHIEVING GOALS (continued):
5. Consciously develop a detailed, scheduled PLAN of ACTION to bring it about. then take one little step at a time, progressing toward your goals. 6. Alert your SUBCONSCIOUS MIND and let it start working for you... go on about your regular business and let it happen. Strengthen your conviction by giving thanks that it is already done. Have faith and patience - work and believe - amazing results will come about! 7. On Company and Family Goals, you will probably want to discuss and share their development with the members involved... however, on personal goals, do not talk to others about your plan except to the Great Power within you which will unfold to your SUBCONSCIOUS MIND the method of accomplishment. 8. THINK & ACT Confidently and Successfully and you will begin to FEEL, then actually BECOME, Confident and Successful. Confidence and enthusiasm are contagious; so are the lack of them. Think, act, practice and live the traits and qualities you desire and they become yours!

Draw conclusion to confirm or discard your path. • Avoid a problems. • Solve a problems.

8 Jumpstarting your Goal Achievement
BENEFITS OF INTERVIEWING OTHERS WHAT YOU GET OUT OF A GOOD INTERVIEW WITH THE PROPER QUESTIONING TECHNIQUES: 1 Find out what does and doesn’t work. 2. Find someone who has completed your goal? Here are three types of questions for interviewing you need to ask in Goal Achievement: 1. OPEN Questions that can't be answered with “yes” or “no.” Generally the who, what, where, why and how questions to get the mentor to talk about his/her priorities; i.e., What considerations, did they..? 2. TARGETED Questions that get the prospect focused in a specific direction. "How did you achieve …….?" 3. CLOSED Questions that require a definite “yes” or “no.” “Ms. Smith, will I be able to contact you again should I have another question?” Send a personal thank you note

9 Goal Funneling “FUNNELING” THE POWER OF THE GOAL DENOMINATOR
Do I understand the Goal to the point I can forecast this particular situation? What are your needs, desires, wants, dreams? What are the outcome options? How can I plan against what can go wrong? Did I take progressive steps that were estimated on my “Goal Escalator” to solve my inhibitors? Will I ask for help in the attainment of a goal because I deserve to achieve it ? I WILL ASK QUESTIONS THAT START WITH THE GENERAL SITUATION AND END WITH MY SPECIFIC SOLUTION?

14 Probably will take “People”
THE BASIC HABIT PATTERNS OF A WINNER 1. Don’t condemn, criticize or complain... think of ways to improve the situation. The big rewards are paid for finding the solution, not the difficulty. 2. Show real, honest and hearty appreciation... let others know they are loved. 3. Think good thoughts about other people... and yourself. 4. Give before you get. Always give others a reason to agree with you before asking anything of them. (If there were a way that YOU... ) 5. Smile often... it generates enthusiasm, friendliness, and goodwill. 6. Remember names. A person’s name is the sweetest, most important sound he hears, and it instantly captures his attention each time it is used.

15 Probably will take “People”
THE BASIC HABIT PATTERNS OF A WINNER (continued) 7. Be an effective communicator by listening. Encourage others to talk about themselves by asking questions (When, Where, Who, What, How, WHY?). 8. Think, Act and Look happy and successful... and you will begin to think, feel, and actually become HAPPY and SUCCESSFUL. 9. Never engage in worry conversations or participate in gossip sessions. 10. Always greet others with a positive, cheerful statement... not the question, “How are you?” 11. Respond to another’s question, “How are you?” with an enthusiastic, meaningful “TERRIFIC!” 12. Look for and expect GOOD things to happen to you... inquire to others: “What GOOD things are happening with you today?” PICK ONE RULE AT A TIME...
