What is our value? Innovative and different perks Not focused on traditional benefits Designed to drive the business forward Promotion of work life balance and happy environments Staff are our greatest assets – let them be your canaries

Birthday entitlement Pub/Afternoon Tea/Restaurant ad hoc events KPI’s driving the business… with a fully paid holiday! Early finishes on the last Friday Star Employee Awards Plus Easter egg hunts, advent calendars, flexible leave around children Happiness surveys Staff taking staff meetings and attending management meetings Psychometric testing and team profiling

8 So you have a value proposition – what now?
Advert content – sell the sizzle – its your shop window LinkedIn Indeed or online sites Your own website – does it reflect your values? Facebook and facebook advertising Staff referrals Consistency is key – don’t just recruit roles when you need to! Create and nurture a talent pool Think differently….

10 Example You have job adverts for job A and job B off Indeed.
In your tables answer the following questions: Positives and negatives of each? What do you feel when you read the advert? Who would you work for and why?.. What are the main selling points?

11 Using video is a great way of making your possible new staff FEEL
Staff are people – create something that the right people for your organisation want to be part of Videos engage people more than text. You must understand what your value proposition is. It must have a purpose.

Work place environments – google and the slide, swings, video games rooms Open and shared environments – away from desks Flat management structures – Cheetham Jackson Social and community give back days – Experian Unlimited holidays

13 Thoughts to take away… Who is your target new personnel?
What is your value proposition? Do people know and understand your organisations culture and values? How could your organisation recruit differently?
