What is social studies 9 pre-ap world history?
First year of a 2-year, very rigorous college level course The second year course is AP World History Culminates in an AP exam and Global History Regents exam in grade 10 (year 2)

Criteria for placement consideration
Minimum final course grade of “A” in Social Studies 8 and teacher recommendation Performance on Social Studies 9 Pre-AP World History placement assignment Demonstrated academic maturity Note: only students with a minimum final course grade of “A” will be able to apply for an override

Placement assignment Assignment will be introduced to qualifying/interested students on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 7:40 am in room 062. Repeated on Friday, January 13, 2017, same time/room. Replication of typical homework assignments for a chapter Students will have 11 days to complete—due Monday, January 23, 2017 Mr. Brown will be available for questions on Tuesday, January 17 & Friday, January 20 at 7:45 a.m. in room 062 and via at Students cannot be considered for placement without completing this assignment
