4 What We Mean By… Donor Relations: The comprehensive effort to ensure that philanthropic donors experience high-quality interactions, that foster long- term engagement and investment. Front Line Fundraising: The comprehensive effort to identify, engage, and encourage individuals to invest their time, talent, or treasure into an institution. Authentic Stewardship: The dynamic outcome when donor relations staff and front line fundraisers directly collaborate to create a unique, personal strategy that includes a spectrum of opportunities, to engage and retain a philanthropic donor. 7 Small Groups Break Into Small Groups
Start by discussing and filling out “Oy Vey! The Calendar is So Full Already!”. Fill out vertically, matching column colors. What do you see? What don’t you see? Is it balance or heavy one direction on responsibility, frequency, etc.? Finish by discussing and filling out “Cross-Programming and Signature Initiatives”. Focus on a single initiative.
