McGee Boulevard, Dayton 9:00 a.m. Registration and Networking 9:15 a.m. Welcome – Barb Brahm, SW Region Interim Director 9:25 a.m. Get Acquainted and Fun Activities – Steve Brady Warren County 4-H, and Mark Light, Hardin County 4-H Program Highlights: 9:50 a.m. Extension Update – Roger Rennekamp, Director, OSU Extension 10:50 a.m. Break 11:00 a.m. Ignite Session – Highlights of SW Region Programs – Steve Brady, Coordinator 12:00 p.m. Box Lunch 12:30 p.m. Leave for Tours (drive yourself or carpool) 1. Air Force Museum Tour 2. Ag Tour – Join Issac Delamatre, of Antioch college, on a tour of Antioch’s campus farm facility. Learn about Antioch’s on site sustainable farm, their management practices, as well as, their local food action plan for the students of Antioch and Yellow Springs community members. Then on to Young’s Dairy (Learn how a family took a small dairy farm to a thriving agri-entertainment business. Join Dan Young on the tour and don’t forget to bring your money for some of the best ice cream in the area!) – Sam Custer and Brian Kleinke, Coordinators 3. Dayton Proto Build Bar – (maker space and team building) – Mark Light, Coordinator This amazing creative and technology experience center is part 3D printing lab, part electronic maker space, and part café. Proto is a fun, hands-on place where people of all ages and experience levels can come together around a simple, yet powerful idea: “I want to make something great.” We’ll provide a quick but informative tour of our supremely inquire space, including 3D printers, soldering stations, the Guinness World Record holding Largest Claw Game and much more. A talk on the Maker Movement and what that means for OSU Extension and how Proto and makerspaces fits into that equation. Following that, we’ll walk everyone through a soldering project that will be yours to take home. You’ll also get a 3D printed OSU keychain and the opportunity to create something yourself and make something awesome.
