Be Prepared to Work When You Arrive at Work
Follow the rules and policies of your facility Give the employer a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay Have you ever seen an employee abuse their work situation? How? Practice Teamwork Healthcare involves a “team” of different professionals When someone is in a car accident and sustains a severe laceration, how many different members of the healthcare team would be involved in the victim’s care? Why would “teamwork” be needed to care for the victim? Teacher Notes; Students should be able to identify a number of different health professions involved in the victim’s care, both in first response and transport (EMS, dispatcher, etc.) to the Emergency Room. Students should also be able to suggest reasons for teamwork, beginning with the fact that is takes two people to lift the stretcher into the ambulance.
