3. TPN- A brief history
TPN - The Pallet Network is one of the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution networks, offering Next Day, Premium, Economy and Tail Lift services throughout the UK and Ireland as well as Europe and Scandinavia.
The Pallet Network was founded in 2000 in an old aircraft hangar near Doncaster, with the aim of providing a cost-effective and reliable palletised distribution solution.
In 2007 MD Adam Leonard led an MBO to secure the continued development of the Member focused ethos of the network.
With 200 HGV parking bays, we are confident that we have a sustainable Hub to ensure the ongoing quality of the Network’s operation.
Continual investment and focus on improving our operation has led us to our current purpose built 367,500 sq ft Hub which opened in January 2014.
Network growth as a result of consistently high service levels soon led to a move to the Midlands enabling TPN to continue to develop and grow.

4. What We Do
TPN – The Pallet Network operates a “Hub and Spoke” distribution model, based on the analogy of a bicycle wheel. TPN Members, independent transport companies in their own right, collect freight from their customers, consolidate and trunk that freight to the Hub facility at Minworth.
The freight is then unloaded by Hub forklift drivers and is placed into numbered bays representing specific postcode areas within the UK
and Ireland, as well as Europe. Each TPN Member is allocated
these areas on joining the Network.
Freight is then loaded onto trunk vehicles destined for
these specific postcodes and the vehicles return to the
Members’ Depots.
On arrival at the depot, the freight is unloaded, checked
and reloaded onto delivery vehicles and then despatched
for delivery.

TPN boasts a Membership comprising of almost 100 of the best independent hauliers in the UK together with
23 companies as part of TPN Ireland,
with an Irish Hub based in Dublin.
TPN and its Members prize quality,
not quantity and we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to loss or
damaged freight.

TPN covers 98% of the UK postcodes on a Next Day Service.
Ireland
TPN Ireland is the only true pallet network covering all counties of Ireland. The service offering matches that of the UK giving TPN unrivalled coverage throughout the UK and Ireland.
International
TPN offers a wide range of European and Scandinavian
transport services through their unique partnership with
some of the biggest names in freight distribution, a truly
pan-European network. TPN can offer both import and
export services throughout Western and Eastern Europe

12. TPN’s Cradle to Grave Policy
TPN operates a ‘Cradle to Grave’ Goods in Transit Liability Policy on behalf of TPN Members and their customers. The Policy covers all freight consigned to TPN,
from collection to delivery and through the Hub.
All goods are carried under RHA 1998 Conditions of Carriage with an uplifted
limit of £5000 per tonne. An excess of £100 may be applied to all claims,
with no subrogation to TPN Members.
TPN also has the facility to offer Full Value Insurance cover for high value
low weight goods. This ensures that your goods will be protected for every evenuality.

With a 200+ HGV parking area for faster turnaround, state of the art CCTV and undercover load checking areas, we are fully equipped to ensure that every pallet reaches its destination on time and on budget.

14. And Finally… A word from TPN’s Managing Director
TPN prides itself on being the pre-eminent quality provider within the pallet network sector. Our reputation has been built upon quality of service rather than quantity of pallets handled and our success has been achieved on that basis.
We only serve our Members’ customers and do not seek to have direct clients of our own which allows us to concentrate on providing the very best levels of service in the industry without compromise. We continually seek to improve our service offerings by continually investing in our staff, our IT systems and overall infrastructure, such as our state of the art Hub facility in the Heart of the West Midlands.
