Credits: What are they and how do you get them?
A CREDIT is earned when a student successfully completes a course with a grade of 70 or above. A student’s schedule has 7 classes. Therefore, a student has the opportunity to earn 3.5 credits per semester and a total of 7 for the year. An additional credit can be earned by taking a flex class.

GRADE POINT VALUES Regular classes are based on a 4.0 scale.
PAP/Honors courses are based on a 5.0 scale. AP/Dual Credit courses are based on a 6.0 scale.

SUMMARY Select endorsement, 7 classes (credits), and 2 alternates on your Course Selection Card. Next, circle your pathway choice(s) on the form behind the Course Selection Card. Registration ends in Skyward on Friday, March 3rd, 2017. If a student chooses to enroll in a FLEX class, their schedule will have 8 classes. FLEX classes meet Tu., Wed., Th. from 7:25-8:40am. We offer Art 1, Spanish 1, Principles of Construction, Principles of Art & Audio Video and W. Geography. March 7, 2017—Application for FLEX classes open! You must turn in Course Selection Card and the endorsement pathway sheet with parent and student signatures to your junior high counselor by: __________. If you plan on taking any PAP/AP courses, you must turn in PAP/AP contract with these documents as well.
