Living things or Biotic things like animals
Non – Living things or Abiotic things like rocks or air.

Living things eat!

Living things breathe!

5. Kingdoms There are 5 Kingdoms of Living things. Animal Kingdom

Protist

Compare these animals. What is the same?

9. How we Classify Animals
We compare and contrast animals to see what is the same and what is different.
We put all the animals that are the same in different categories. So the otter and the bear are more the same than different. That makes them Mammals.

10. Others too!
The Kiwi and the Macaw are more the same than different. So that makes them both Birds.
So, what IS the same?

Each kind of animal has certain features that make it belong to a group!
