1 E-PROCTOR Under the guidance of Mr.Avinash Awate
Program Director, MOOC, IITB. Special Thanks to: 1.Mr.Rajnikant Jangir 2.Mr.Saurabh 3.Mr.Nitin Iyer

2 Team Members: Yashwanth Dasari Shubham Sharma Aneesh Kaushal
Anmol Pal Singh Kalyani Takalkar Shravan Kumar Mallidi Sarreddy Hardik Rathi

3 Introduction: Online Exam + Digital Proctor = E-Proctor
E-Proctor: It is an online interactive platform which resides on learners’ device for student evaluation and monitoring It plays the role of invigilator and evaluator. Web-cam acts as a digital proctor. Cheating is prevented by optimum control.

4 NEED & PURPOSE: Trusted assessments is the current challenge in MOOC.
All online proctored examinations in current scenario have a significant amount of human intervention. Our aim is to reduce human intervention To reduce cost and time To ensure trusted evaluation & Reliable certification

5 SECURITY FEATURES: Authentication is done by Face Recognition.
Beyond a limit, if face is not detected then the user becomes suspicious and images are sent to server for verification. Optimum control of the device helps to prevent cheating to a maximum extent. Our software is non-intrusive and user friendly. Data stored in the user’s device is encrypted.

6 Metrics: Size:11.3 MB LOC:30852 Languages Used: HTML,CSS, SEMANTIC UI, JSP, JAVA,ANDROID. Database Used: MYSQL Libraries Used: OPENCV, Digital Image Processing Library, AES encryption Technique, GSON Library for JSON, Apache commons library.

7 Test Plan: Our Application has been unit tested for face detection, face recognition, complete control , User Interface End – To- End Demo is conducted on the intern students. A feedback was collected from the intern students to nurture our software. Tested on Android/Windows/Linux/MAC

8 Challenges Faced: Handling human incognito tendency.
Making our software reliable for the institute and friendly for the users. Jumbling of questions and options differently for every individual. Bypassing all other applications i.e., Making machine specific for our application. Fallback mechanism which does not allow user to switch between different tabs and prevent cheating.

9 What we have Learnt? Different face recognition Algorithms like PCA, LDA, LBHP, LPP. AES Encryption technique. Complete exposure to SDLC (Evolutionary prototype Model). Design and Optimization of test cases. Exposure to OPENCV, JSON, SEMANTIC UI, JSP, MYSQL.

10 Comparision: Traditional Proctor E-Proctor Requires human effort
Scheduling problems No option of jumbled question paper Incurs high cost Involves more time Less comfort Authentication here is more trusted Less human intervention No hassle scheduling Question paper jumbling is possible Economically viable Saves time More comfort Authentication here is less trusted.

11 B-virtual Vs E-Proctor
Features E-Proctor B-virtual Compatible on Windows Yes Compatible on Linux Compatible on MAC Compatible on Android No Face Recognition Live human Instructor Live video Recording Live Audio Recording Availability 24x7 Finger print scanning

12 Future Work: Security features can be enhanced by using higher levels of encryption. Finger print scanning can be added. User interface can be enhanced by customer feedback. Analysis of sound can be done. Barcode can be added.

13 THANK YOU Any Query????
